Guidance and Psychological Counseling

Hello, I'm Ceren Zavagar. I am a 3rd year student at Tokat Gaziosmanpaşa University, Department of Guidance and Psychological Counseling. The Department of Guidance and Psychological Counseling was established to train psychological counselors in various public and private institutions or organizations. Our department is in the Taşlıçiftlik Campus, Faculty of Education. In our department, we take courses such as Psychological Counseling Theories, Personality Theories, Counseling Skills, Family Counseling, Individual Counseling, Psychological Tests, Group Counseling, which we take under the supervision of a teacher. In our department, there are 4 individual psychological counseling rooms and also a group psychological counseling room that we use. We practice what we have learned in the theoretical courses in these rooms. After graduating from our department, we can work as a psychological counselor in the Ministry of National Education, the Ministry of Family and Social Services and private institutions. We can also work as pedagogues in the Ministry of Justice. We can also continue working as academicians after graduation. It is important for me to be able to help and connect with people. That's why I chose the Department of Guidance and Psychological Counseling. I researched Tokat Gaziosmanpaşa University after I took the university entrance exam. I chose it because of its physical facilities and great academic staff. After graduation, I intend to work in the Ministry of National Education or the Ministry of Justice. I recommend the candidates who will choose our university to take advantage of all the opportunities offered by our university. I wish success to all candidates who will take the exam.
