Banking and Insurance

I'm Kübra Bilici. I am a senior student at Tokat Gaziosmanpaşa University, Turhal Faculty of Applied Sciences, Department of Banking and Insurance. Our department is situated in Turhal, one of the biggest districts of Tokat. Turhal is a transit route and is a district that is advantageos in terms of the commute. The Banking and Insurance Department has an important place in training experienced personnel needed in the banking and insurance sectors. The Banking and Insurance Division covers two important sectors in finance. Finance will continue to be in every aspect of our lives, even if we are not aware of it. Our department includes courses such as Accounting, Insurance, Business Finance, Investment Analysis and Portfolio Management. In addition, courses such as Investment Institutions, Derivative Instruments Market are provided for the CMB (Capital Markets Board) Licensing Exam. In our department, we have a computer laboratory, conference hall and library that we can use whenever we want. I would also like to point out that you can access new and up-to-date resources in the field of Banking and Insurance in our libraries. One of the most important features of our department is that we do internships throughout the 8th semester. During this period, everyone has the opportunity to do an internship in any institution in the bank and insurance sector in the city they live in. When we graduate, we can work in banks and insurance general directorates. In addition, since we will be graduates, we have the opportunity to open our own insurance agency without seeking experience in the insurance sector. I chose the Banking and Insurance Department because of the wide employment opportunities it provides to its graduates. I chose Tokat Gaziosmanpaşa University for its well-equipped academic staff. After graduation, I intend to progress in the insurance field. I want to set up my insurance agency after I have enough experience. I recommend the candidates who will choose our department attend the conferences, seminars and meetings held in our university. Good luck to the candidates who will take the exam.
