Hello, I'm Edanur Bülbül. I am a 4th year student at Tokat Gaziosmanpaşa University, Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, Department of Economics. Our department was established in 1995 and started providing undergraduate education in the 2000-2001 academic year. The aim of our department is to train well-equipped students in order to solve the economic problems in the national and international arena and help them become experts of this discipline. In our department, in addition to fundamental courses such as Macro Economics and Micro Economics, we also provide courses in the fields of Finance, Law and Business. There are 2 computer laboratories in our faculty. We can provide the necessary training with a sufficient number of computers. We have the opportunity to do internships voluntarily in our department. Our teachers provide us with a lot of support. We have the opportunity to work part-time in different departments of our school. I also work part-time at the Career Center of our school. After graduating from our department, we have the opportunity to work in different public institutions as a specialist, inspector, or auditor. At the same time, we have many prestigious job opportunities in the private sector in areas such as banking and accounting. I believe that the department of economics provides the most wide ranging subjects that make an important part of everyday life. At the same time, Economics is concerned with fields such as law and politics besides economics. I chose this department because I believe it will offer me many employment possibilities both the public and private sectors after my graduation. Before the university exam, we organized a trip to Tokat Gaziosmanpaşa University. The size of the university, the nature surrounding the campus and the caring and friendly behavior of the professors we encountered were a major factor in my preference. In line with the research I did later, I found out that Tokat Gaziosmanpaşa University was a very well-established university and its academic staff was great, so I wanted to choose this university. After graduating from my department, I want to do engage in economic consultancy work in national and international companies. Our teachers are very valuable and esteemed. They are our biggest supporters in every sense. We can knock on their doors any time we want and ask for their help, and we are very lucky because of that. We have important advantages in terms of employment in both the public and private sectors after graduation. My biggest advice to students would be to improve their foreign language skills. The most important quality one could have in the field of economics is to be aware of current economic events. I advise students to choose this university and department by knowing and considering these facts. I wish everyone success in the university exam. We welcome you all.
