Hello, I'm Beyza Fırat. I am a 3rd year student in the Department of Chemistry at Inonu University Faculty of Arts and Sciences. I will inform you about İnonu University and The Department of Chemistry. The Department of Chemistry is one of the oldest and most established departments in the field of basic sciences in our university. It is a known thing that YÖK (Higher Education Council) supports students who prefer basic sciences. The Department of Chemistry is among these departments. If you choose the Department of Chemistry in your preferences, you can be eligible for the success scholarship given by YÖK. I was awarded the YÖK Achievement Scholarship because I enrolled in the Department of Chemistry with a high ranking. Our Department of Chemistry offers the opportunity to make minors in fields such as physics, chemical engineering and pharmacy. In addition, our school has exchange programs such as Mevlana, Farabi and Erasmus. In our department, we take theoretical and laboratory courses such as General Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Physics and Biochemistry. We take a total of 8 different laboratory courses in our department. In addition, we can take part actively in projects supported by TUBITAK (Scientific and Technological Research Institution of Turkey). Our professors show all the support and patience we need in this regard. There is a 1-term internship requirement in the Department of Chemistry. We can complete this internship in research laboratories or chemical industries. Our teachers guide us in this regard. We can also prepare our dissertation in the 4th grade and graduate. Chemistry is a constantly evolving and self-renewing department. Even in our daily lives, there is no area without chemistry. Therefore, chemistry departments are needed in many sectors. We can make many contributions to both our country and the scientific community with chemistry. The Chemistry Department was a part of my interest. I chose this department because it is also associated with many branches of science. I chose Inonu University because it is a very productive and active university. After graduating, I intend to continue my master's and doctoral studies at Inonu University. The Department of Chemistry is one of the most active and enjoyable parts of science. If you like to research, discover new things, produce new things, but do not want your social life to end, we welcome you to inonu University Department of Chemistry.
