Faculty of Pharmacy
Hello, my name is Habibe Turhan. I'm 22 years old. I am a 4th year student of İnonu University, Faculty of Pharmacy. Our faculty was founded in 2002 and gave its first graduates in 2006. In 2014, it moved into its own building. Our faculty building is located on the central campus. We have a modern building with large and equipped student laboratories, R&D (research and development) laboratories of each department, student cafeteria, botanical garden, playgrounds where we can spend time between classes, unlimited internet access and study halls. In addition to basic medical courses such as Biochemistry, Microbiology, Anatomy, Physiology, Chemistry, chemistry courses such as Analytical Chemistry, Organic Chemistry and General Chemistry are offered within the scope of basic pharmacy sciences in our faculty. Within the scope of pharmacy professional sciences, we have courses such as Pharmacology, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Toxicology, and Cognosis. In the field of pharmacy technology, we take courses in Pharmaceutical Technology, Radiopharmaceuticals and Pharmaceutical Biotechnology. We have large and equipped student laboratories, individual R&D laboratories for each department which we students can benefit from at any time, and a central laboratory that has been made available to the entire faculty. We also have a garden of medicinal and aromatic plants, a majistral workshop and an application pharmacy. Summer semesters of 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5thgrades includes compulsory internships. We complete our summer internships in pharmacies, hospitals or in the industry and our in-term internship in pharmacies. As a graduation project, we are preparing a graduation project under the supervision of a teacher in an area of interest within the scope of Scientific Study Principles in Pharmacy course in the 5th grade. Since we have a comprehensive 5-year undergraduate education process, our fields of study are also quite wide. In addition to pharmacies, hospitals, clinical pharmacies, industrial pharmacies and universities, we can also work as pharmacists in institutions such as TİTCK (Turkish Medicines and Medical Device Authority), TÜFAM (Turkish Pharmaceutical Center) and TMO (Soil Crops Office). Ever since I was a kid, I knew I wanted a profession where I could directly touch human life. That's why I had to be in the health care industry. My interest in biology and chemistry was also instrumental in my preference for pharmacy. I think pharmacy is a respectable profession that is open to research and development. The wide facilities, security and transportation, were effective in my choice of Inonu University. When I learned that our faculty had competent faculty members and adequate laboratories, I added it to my preference list without hesitation. At the same time, when I found out that there were internship opportunities abroad and Erasmus opportunities, I decided to choose Inonu University. After graduating, I intend to specialize in clinical pharmacy because I want to deal directly with human life. Inonu University is a very advantageous university with its large campus and on-campus facilities. It is very rich with its cultural facilities such as student clubs, gym, indoor-outdoor swimming pool, tennis court, concerts and theaters for all interests. For example, I'm a member of the Archery Club because I'm interested in traditional archery. It is easy to communicate with our teachers and other students because we have a well-equipped building and we do not have a large student quota. It is easy for us to use laboratories, the amphitheater and the classrooms. Clinical pharmacy education conducted by Inonu University Turgut Özal Medical Center and our faculty with the department of Clinical Pharmacy is well-equipped. You should choose Inonu University Faculty of Pharmacy to benefit from these opportunities. I wish everyone who's going to take the test all the best. We'd love to have you with us.
