Hello, my name is Melisa Nokay. I am a senior student in the Department of Physics at Inonu University Faculty of Arts and Sciences. Our department was first established in 1977 within the faculty of basic sciences of Inonu University. It is one of the first departments opened in the field of physics in our country and the education given is sufficient. The courses given in our department start with general physics course in the 1st grade and then continue with field courses such as Classical Mechanical Electrical and Quantum Physics. Together with our professors who have done many important studies in the field of physics, we gain a lot of the knowledge and skills we need to learn from these courses. I can say that our laboratory infrastructure is very capable because it is one of the first physics departments established. Setting up our laboratories in a way that each student receives an experimental set allows us students to learn physics in more detail, not only theoretically but also practically. There are many research laboratories within our university. In these research laboratories, medical physics, magnetism and magnetic materials can be developed and supercapacitors and battery studies can be carried out in relation to the energy sector. These laboratories offer many students at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels the opportunity to work in different fields of physics. Graduation projects are carried out in two semesters in the last year of our program. These projects are assigned by our professors according to the wishes of the students. With these projects covering current issues, we complete our department by conducting research and studies in different fields of physics. Since the Department of Physics is also related to mathematics and computers, it offers the opportunity to work both in the academic field and in many different fields of the private sector after graduation. The fact that the Department of Physics is based on understanding nature and has the necessary infrastructure in this field by improving both mathematics and thinking skills was one of the reasons I preferred this department. The reason I chose Inonu University was because it was one of the established universities in the region. It was my idea that I would get the best level of education in this field both in terms of the education given and the academic staff. That's why I chose Inonu University. When we look at the academic studies carried out in our country, we see that the projects carried out by the Department of Physics are important for the future of the country. Therefore, our graduate students can have employment opportunities in private schools and many different areas of civil service. Inonu University campus is titled as a "green campus" and offers advantages to students in many social areas. The fact that the student dormitories are located within the university campus is one of the important advantages offered to students in terms of security. Since our university gives you the opportunity to do a lot of research both in the country and around the world, I can recommend that every student who wants to improve themselves to choose this department.
