Health Institutions Operating

I am Rumeysa Gönültaş, a student of University of Health Sciences, Gülhane Vocational School of Health, Health Institutions Management Program. Health Institutions Management is a program that aims to train individuals who are competent not only in management but also in hospital management. Health Institutions Management is a comprehensive program that focuses on one-to-one communication with patients and their relatives as well as healthcare professionals, depending on the unit they work in, as there is more than one unit in hospital management. In our program, courses such as Management in Health Institutions, Human Resources and Quality Management are provided to teach management, organization, follow-up and control. In our program, 30 working days of compulsory internship are provided. When we graduate from our program, we can work in university hospitals, private hospitals, foundation hospitals, industrial establishments where medical devices and medicines are produced. I chose my program because I thought I could better develop my interest in management and communication in a hospital setting. When I researched the University of Health Sciences, I noticed that it was the first university that focused on health in Turkey. I thought that I could develop myself better here, thanks to the opportunities and education. Indeed, when I enrolled, I realized that all departments were health-themed and that a great education was provided. When I graduate, I want to work in the private sector and improve myself in my field. Especially when I did my internship, I realized that I enjoyed working in the human resources department and that I expressed myself very well. That's why I prefer to work in this field. My advice to the candidates who will choose this program is for them to have good organizational skills. Because we can work in more than one unit in hospital management. Of course, they should improve their skills with training and seminars in this process. In addition to these, I can also say that they should have a good command of the legislation. We also have courses such as Basic Concepts of Law, Health Tourism, as they have to know the regulations by heart. I wish success to the candidates who will choose this university.
