Hello, I am Cemre Özkanca, I am responsible for the University of Health Sciences, Hamidiye Health Services Vocational School, Pharmacy Services Program. The aim of our program is to provide the most fundamental medication knowledge to our students, with the help of the face-to-face and theoretical trainings we provide. It is also our responsibility to educate students on the registration procedures they will undertake as pharmacists, and the communication they will establish with patients and their relatives. Our program is located in the Hamidiye Complex. In our program, we have courses such as Pharmacology, Medication Knowledge, Medication Forms, Medical Materials, Biochemistry, Microbiology. Laboratories form a very important part of our program and we provide laboratory training to our students for 3 semesters. In our laboratory training courses, we provide training for the preparation of magistral drugs, the preparation of pharmaceutical procedures or the use of a sphygmomanometer for the use of patients, the use of blood sugar sticks. At the end of their 2nd year, our students are sent to internships at various hospitals or private pharmacies of their choice as a part of a summer internship. In addition, they can do their internships in pharmaceutical factories, various workplaces of the pharmaceutical industry and drug warehouses. After graduation, our students can work in private pharmacies, pharmacies belonging to public or private hospitals, drug stores and various pharmaceutical companies. Our program can be preferred by students as it is a profession that focuses on the field of health and on one-to-one communication with people.
