Hello, I'm Aleyna Sevimli. I am a junior student at Pamukkale University, Faculty of Sports Sciences, Recreation Department. In this video, I will introduce you to my beloved department. Recreation is accumulation of practices that helps people improve their physical, mental, and spiritual health in order to increase their quality of life. It plans the execution and management stages of activities like sports and arts. It is located in Pamukkale University Kınıklı Campus. In our department, there are theoretical courses such as Tourism Recreation, Therapy Recreation, Community Recreation, Leadership and Human Anatomy. We also have courses such as Football, Gymnastics, Volleyball, Outdoor Sports, Water Sports, Skiing, where we attend training camps. In relation with our courses, our school offers a wide range of facilities such as our Computer Laboratory; and sports facilities, such as Fitness Hall, Combat Sports Hall, Swimming Pool, Squash Court, and Tennis Courts. As for our internship and graduation projects, the university and the city offer us a lot of opportunities in this regard. At the same time, we have the opportunity to work either full or part time and to do internships in our Şehit Ömer Halisdemir Sports Facilities, which is the biggest Sports Facility of the Aegean Region. This gives us a lot of employment opportunities in our future life. When we graduate from the department, we have a wide range of job opportunities. Mainly institutions and organizations that serve people with disabilities, facilities of the municipality, the tourism sector, and sports clubs. First of all, I researched the courses of my department. I chose it because it is the most suitable department for me, it has the most activities and there are many employment opportunities. Having competent instructors in their fields was one of the biggest reasons for me to choose the department. In addition to being an academically prominent university, Pamukkale University has an active campus life: festivals, concerts, and scientific events organized for us. Denizli's ease of transportation and its student-friendly environment are also important factors. Our department is great, first of all academic staff is respectful and idealist; they are always there for us. PAU Arena is in our campus where we can practice different branches of sports as well as watch the games Basketball Super League. When I graduate from, I want to learn Therapy Recreation and establish a private institution whose aim is to entertain and learn while healing people with sports. If candidates want to achieve professional qualification in a sector that has many job opportunities, they should consider Pamukkale University Department of Recreation. Pamukkale University, which has the largest sports facility in Türkiye, awaits sports enthusiasts.
