Hello, my name is Kübra Rabia Reyhan. I am studying at Pamukkale University Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences. In addition to our compulsory courses such as international economics, econometrics, monetary and theory policy, macroeconomics, microeconomics, we also take elective courses and compulsory law courses. We have a computer workshop. It is not open to extracurricular use, we take lessons in the workshop accompanied by a faculty member. Apart from these, we have libraries both inside and outside the faculty. Our library outside the faculty has a larger area and it is possible for more students to benefit from it. Internship depends on the student's request. If there is a workplace where the student wants to work, an interview is arranged beforehand and the application form is submitted for the acceptance of the workplace. With the approval of the school, the internship process begins. The internship process is carried out during the transition period from the fall semester to the spring semester. Seminars are organized where students and employers are brought together for graduation projects. In order to be informed about these seminars, it is necessary to become a member of the website called “Door of Talent”. The faculty of my department is located on the Kınıklı Campus. My department is a department that requires numerical skills and analytical thinking ability. Economy is a science that examines the economic relations that arise as a result of the goods and services produced to meet the needs and demands of individuals. The aim of our department is to teach us systems such as analyzing, interpreting, using formulas and calculations in order to teach all this economic operation to the student. There are 3 business areas. First, there are job opportunities in the private sector in national and international production import-export departments, in some banks and in the accounting departments of some enterprises. Secondly; job opportunities in the public sector. We can be appointed to government institutions as civil servants by preparing for KPSS (Public Personnel Selection Exam) or ALES (Academic postgraduate education exam) exams. As the third; we can pursue an academic career. I chose this department because our department has wide job opportunities in both the public and private sectors. Opportunities I benefited the most from while continuing with my studies were the library, cafeteria, transportation, social activities, events, and groups established to improve ourselves. My goals after graduation are to prepare for KPSS and ALES exams and to obtain job opportunities in government institutions. My advice to the candidates who will choose this department is to research the department and choose the department after they gain knowledge. The department of economics is a department in which individuals with numerical competence can be successful in. I recommend those who want to choose the department to pay attention to this issue. Pamukkale University is a university you can choose with peace of mind. It is one of the best universities in Turkey.
