Hello, my name is Yakup Can Alkayalı, I am a 3rd year student of Political Science and Public Administration. Our department is located in the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences on the central campus. Our department has been operating since the 2000s. It has a 4-year undergraduate program. It provides a wide range of courses such as Law, Economics, Accounting, Sociology, especially Political Science and Public Administration. We have a computer lab where we take our courses. There is no compulsory internship, an optional internship can be done. Apart from this, thanks to the mentorship program provided to the 3rd graders, you can receive consultancy services from governors and mayors. You can work as a specialist in ministries, especially in the district governorship, inspectorship, administrative judgeship, middle and senior management in private companies, and also in political parties. Since I live in Izmir, I chose Pamukkale, which is the closest city to my region. Apart from that, I thought it would be great since it is a touristic city. The center that I use the most in the faculty, which is the library, has over 100,000 books. You can use all the resources. Apart from this, we have a good number of staff which are quite qualified, and you can talk to your teachers like your friends. After graduation, my main goal is the Governorship, and I can choose any department that will be beneficial to the Turkish nation in other different fields. It is a department that I can recommend to every student who can think analytically, likes to read, follows the agenda and is interested in politics. You can expand your interests in different fields. Good luck to those who will take the exam.
