Economics (English)
Hello, I am Sevcan Akcan, a 4th year student at Pamukkale University, Department of Economics. Our department is located in the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences building on the Kınıklı campus. Everything related to economics is within the study area of the economics department. Economic systems are examined in the department of economics in universities, and thus, it gives us clues about what we can encounter in economic systems in real life. In addition to courses such as Macro Economics, Micro Economics, Monetary Economics and International Economics, we also have math-related courses such as Statistics, Econometrics and Mathematical Economics. In addition to these, we have law courses that are directly related to the economy. In addition to these, there are courses such as Constitutional Law, Law of Obligation, as well as Financial Markets, which you can take as elective courses. You can apply for internship programs in the last semester, you can inform the university about the place where you will go for internship. There is no specific curriculum regarding the graduation project, we usually have an applied course in the last semester of the 4th grade. If you pass it, you can graduate. There are many places that we can be employed for, we can work in national and international companies in the fields of import export or economy, or in government offices and banks. There are a lot of job opportunities in our department, and I chose to study this department with the advice of a professor at my first university. One of my professors graduated from Pamukkale University, and he told us how great the education here was, so he helped me out a lot. That's why I chose this university. I usually use the library because it's open 24/7 and helped me focus quite a bit during exams. Apart from that, they help you a lot when you have a problem. You can contact them by mail or by visiting their offices. At the moment, I have 2 plans, one of which I've been planning since childhood, I'm thinking of enrolling in a Master's program to become an academic. The other is what my teacher, whom I loved very much, told me. There is a research and monetary policy department at the Central Bank, and I plan to work there. Please choose this department if you are interested in it. If you are interested in the courses and study hard, there will be employment possibilities everywhere. In this department, your perspective on events completely changes, your perspective on current life completely changes. I would definitely recommend it. I recommend you to come to the city of Denizli, which has Pamukkale, which is a world cultural heritage site.
