International Student Coordinatorship
Dear candidate students, first of all, hello to all of you, my name is Arzum IŞITAN. I work as a Pamukkale University Faculty of Technology, Mechanical Engineering Lecturer. I also work as a coordinator in the international student coordinatorship of our university. Our university has started to accept foreign students from abroad since 2010, and now we have 1670 active students, from 61 countries in total. The criteria determined by the Higher Education Board are taken as a basis for the admission of students from abroad. The foreign student admission exams organized by our university are also held in different universities in our country, and the results of these exams are also accepted in the applications made to our university. Apart from this, diplomas and other exam results, whose equivalence is accepted in our country, are also among the student admission criteria. You can get detailed information about which exams and diplomas are valid on our website. In 2022, our university has implemented 3 YÖS (Foreign Student Examination) exams both in Denizli, Iran and Azerbaijan. Students whose applications are accepted through the system can choose up to 5 departments of our university within the periods specified in the academic calendar. After the completion of the evaluation process and the placement process, our students can gain the right to enrol in our university. During registration, documents such as diploma, passport, equivalence certificate, residence permit, which we have provided in detail on our website, must be brought to us. After the registration period is over, students who are entitled to enrol in our 100% Turkish departments, take Turkish Education for 1 year at the Language Teaching and Research Center if they do not have proficiency at B1 or C1 levels. After receiving the relevant documents, they can begin their education in their own department. Again, for our departments with 30% and 100% English programs, preparatory education is given at the foreign languages school within our university. Students who have Turkish proficiency at B1 and B2 levels must complete the C1 level before graduation. Students who enrol in our university as foreign students and are entitled to transfer to their departments can benefit from both the ERASMUS Plus Program and the Farabi Exchange Program carried out in Turkey within the country. The tuition fees of the faculties and colleges within our university are determined on a quarterly and annual basis for foreign students. On the basis of the program, these fees may vary depending on the departments. For the faculties and departments within our university, the tuition fees of the next year are determined annually and on a semester basis. In the next year, the fees increase slightly. Our students have the opportunity to participate in many competitions, which are organized by our university students, student societies, teams, both in spring festivals and in our country and around the world. I can say that our university is quite successful, especially in technology competitions. Students coming from abroad can also join these teams, these communities and organizations very easily and become a member and experience with us. Our university campus is in the city, and there are many accommodation opportunities for our students around our campus. As the Pamukkale University International Student Coordinator, we try to help our students starting with their applications until their graduation. We provide our students with the support they need. I wish success to all students who will take the student admission exams. We are waiting for you in Denizli, where Pamukkale, which is unique in the world, is located.
