International Student

Hello, my name is Azhar Moslempour. I came from Tabriz, Iran. I am a sophomore at Pamukkale University, Department of Gastronomy. I love it here, it was among my favourites during my consideration. The university has a great academic staff, the professors are very valuable people. I visited Türkiye constantly for the last 3 or 4 years. I've been to may cities of Türkiye; such as İzmir, İstanbul, and Van. I visited about 40% of Türkiye. Before coming here, I asked many people and researched it on the Internet. I checked the academic staff. I realized it is a wonderful place to study. I liked it very much, the large number of students and the size of the city were important factors for me. Before I came to Türkiye, I had some worries. Could I be exposed to racism, or a discrimination of some kind? Luckily, turns out it is the opposite. The academic staff and the dean welcomed us very nicely, they hold us in high regard. They take care all of our problems, they treat us like family. This was very important to me. I came to Denizli to live, I always had interest in cooking. Since my mother is also an international cook, I was more enthusiastic about it. My instructors and friends have been very helpful. I worked hard to study Gastronomy at university. After coming to Pamukkale University, I improved my Turkish skills more. I integrated myself here, got used to the Turkish way of life. I became friends with so many great people, I love them very much. After coming to Pamukkale University and Denizli, I never felt alone when I faced any trouble or problem. Our instructors taught us lots of thing apart from gastronomy. I learned a lot of good thing from them. Even though I visited many cities in Turkey, Denizli impressed me a lot. The city is big, life is cheap, school and the city are intertwined, the people are friendly, and it is very good in terms of social activities. I have a word to all foreign students attending to Pamukkale University: You will witness friendship, brotherhood, and a new life here. They will value you very much, do not be afraid because you are a foreigner. All our instructors and friends will be with you, know the value of this very well. I recommend you to come to the city of Denizli, where Pamukkale, a World Cultural Heritage Site, is located.
