I am Professor Turan KARADENIZ. I graduated from Samsun Ondokuz Mayıs University, Faculty of Agriculture, Horticulture Department. I got my master's degree in 1989, doctorate degree in 1993 and associate professorship in 1997. In 2004, I was appointed as a professor at Karadeniz Technical University. I am the Deputy Dean of the Pamukkale University, Çivril Atasay Kamer Faculty of Applied Sciences, and also the Dean of Pamukkale University Faculty of Agriculture. The Faculty of Agriculture, which was established in Çivril, will begin providing education by in taking students in the 2023 - 2024 academic year. Çivril is a beautiful town established on a beautiful plain. The biggest district of Denizli is Çivril. Çivril is in a very important in terms of culture, history and agriculture. It is also at the crossroads of Afyon, Uşak, Denizli and the Mediterranean. Fruits, field crops and animal husbandry for zootechnics are carried out here. As the Faculty of Agriculture, we will contribute to these activities. Again, in the surrounding districts such as Çal and Bekirli, grape cultivation is at a very high level. We, as the Faculty of Agriculture, will support these agricultural activities. In the Faculty of Applied Sciences, financial management skills are required, focusing on the capital market. In the Departments of International Trade and Logistics, export-oriented training is provided. Courses mainly related to export and import are given. How is organic farming done in the Department of Organic Agricultural Management? How is this sector managed? Very detailed information about these topics are provided. In Çivril Campus, there are areas where our students can engage in sports activities. There are
basketball, volleyball and football complexes. There is a swimming pool belonging to the Metropolitan Municipality in Çivril. Students can engage in sports here. There are also bicycle tours and lanes. Işıklı Lake, which is 10-12 km away from our faculty, has lotus gardens and fields that bloom in May and June. Many domestic and foreign tourists come here and visit the lotus fields by participating in tours. Minibuses depart from Çivril to Denizli every 20 minutes. Students can reach the main campus in Denizli whenever they want. They can benefit from the libraries here, as well as from other cultural areas. But there are places in Çivril where they can spend 24 hours. University culture is well established in Çivril. Apartments, restaurants, cafeterias, sports areas where students can spend their time have been beautifully built and presented to our students. I promise that when our students come to Çivril, they will make many memories. At the end of the year, they apply for internships during the summer holidays. Generally, the students find the internship places themselves, but the staff and teachers help our students to find internships. Again, in the spring semester of the 4th grade, our students will work in the private sector or in the public institutions of the state to practice for a semester. We now use the 7+1 system. They can easily find a job both during the internship period and in the application areas. Most of our students receive offers while they are doing the internships. Of course, studying in metropolitan cities has advantages and disadvantages. I think that studying in metropolitan cities is disadvantageous, especially in terms of the long commute hours, cost of living, and everything that goes with it. Anatolian cities, and Pamukkale University Çivril Campus is devoid of such disadvantages, also providing social facilities for students. We offer the chance to meet with the instructors one-on-one and get support from the instructors in their spare time. Education in Civril is easier and they can get the diploma without putting too much burden on their families. We wish success to our students who will take the university exam. Çivril is a town where 4 seasons can be experienced to the fullest. Spring, winter months, autumn is a wonderful experience in this town. I invite students to Çiviril to receive their internationally recognized diplomas. I invite you to make memories in Çivril.
