Application and Research Centre for Distance Education (UZEM)
Hello, Assistant Professor Tolga HAYIT. I started my duty as a manager in 2022. I continue my duty as both academic and administrative.
The Research and Application Centre for Distance Education at Yozgat Bozok University started its activities in 2018, although it seems to have officially started its work much earlier. As in other universities, we literally started our work with the pandemic process and tried to support our university in all possible areas.
From the media centre to the YÖGEM framework, from education and training to training of trainers, we continued to plan to be with our students in every way possible and we did our work in this way.
All citizens in our country can benefit from UZEM (Distance Education Application and Research Centre), because, although we started our activities with the pandemic process, especially for the academic staff and students at our own university, the activities we carried out afterwards include activities for all our citizens in our country in a way that they can benefit.
For example, if I need to talk about Bozok Academy; While it is a system that all our citizens can participate in, they can only enter with an e-government password and register for courses, courses, and benefit from the courses without waiting for any fee, we also have some courses such as common courses, YÖK (Higher Education Council) courses, cyber security. Within the framework of these courses, we, as Yozgat Bozok University Distance Education Application and Research Centre, are obliged to provide all kinds of benefits and support to both our students and lecturers and we continue our work at this point.
My first advice to the students who will benefit from our Distance Education Centre is: as a unit of this university, they should research our university through our website. They can also find out whether all the professors of the department they will enrol in are sufficient or not through our website. Although our unit started its intensive work during the pandemic period, it is a unit that has contributed to our university in many areas, and even just by entering the website of our own unit, student can have information about where our university is located in distance education and distance education by looking at the studies we have done both in our university and across the country. From our mobile application, Bozok Academy, as well as the services we have provided to our students starting from the pandemic process to the present day, as I said, they can get information by accessing our website before they come.
If the activities carried out at the UZEM centre (Distance Education Application and Research Centre) are taken from the pandemic period, we aimed to carry out education and training in a healthy way within the framework of distance education, from workshops and symposiums to training of trainers’ activities, even preparing a distance graduation ceremony for our students when necessary, and press broadcasting activities. Later on, as in the distance education application and research centres in all other universities, our university has a little more load on education and training, but all services such as common courses, exam activities of these courses and technical infrastructure are currently provided by our unit. However, by producing a platform such as Bozok Academy that citizens all over our country can benefit from, we have provided a useful environment not only for our university but also for our citizens all over our country, and a suitable platform where they can provide their owneducation. As Yozgat Bozok University Distance Education Application and Research Centre, we wish success to our students who will take the university exam and we welcome you all to our university and our unit, especially to our Yozgat.
