Hello there. I am Ali Ramazan TAK. I am the corporate relations advisor to the rector of Istanbul Medeniyet University and the general manager of Technopark. Istanbul Medeniyet University offers a wide range of opportunities to its students in terms of education, research, projects, social and cultural activities. If we summarise these under three main headings, first of all, in the field of education and training, Istanbul Medeniyet University offers its students an education opportunity in a master and apprentice relationship. Our students have the opportunity to have a one-to-one conversation with their teachers after the lesson, to improve themselves and to benefit from their teachers. Secondly, our university is an internationally competitive university. Our students can build their original ideas in an internationally competitive environment. In recent years, our university has always ranked first in the indices by international rating organisations. It carries its success higher. Thirdly, our university offers a number of opportunities to our students both while studying and after graduation with its career centre. Our students have the opportunity to develop projects in the laboratory, to benefit from experts in their field, career interviews and various internship opportunities. Within the Technopark of our university, our students can do internships in companies in the ecosystem related to their field of study. At the same time, our students can gain experience in companies to see the projects they carry out in the field. At the same time, our students can apply to companies in the ecosystem as an employment gate after graduation. In our university, our central library provides our students with a very useful socialisation opportunity, working environment and access to original resources. At the same time, free tea and cake are offered to our students. On the other hand, there are various dormitory facilities at our university. Our university's own dormitory, dormitories of Credit Dormitories Institutions and private dormitories offer accessible dormitory facilities to our students. With the central locations of our university, transportation from dormitories is easily provided. Our students are offered the opportunity to do sportive activities in our own sports fields and sports organisations around us. Our football club, volleyball club, basketball club, handball club, handball club, traditional sports clubs and water sports clubs offer our students the opportunity of a university that lives all day long. Our students can participate in inter-university tournaments as well as rectorate tournaments and inter-club tournaments. Our sports facilities are completely free of charge for our students and they can benefit from them as they wish. At the same time, the sports facilities are allocated to our students through agreements with the social facilities around us.
Istanbul Medeniyet University, which is active all day, offers various opportunities to its students. In this scope, our student centres and youth centres within our university serve our students. Students can chat in the centres with tea and coffee, carry out club activities, use the equipment materials there and play games. Istanbul Medeniyet University, which offers various opportunities to its students with the slogan "University is civilisation", assumes the role of a university that feeds on society and contributes to society in the third title. Our students can participate in social activities in addition to their education in order to contribute to society. On 6 February 2023, our university provided psychosocial support services to the region affected by the earthquake disaster that occurred. In order to contribute to the society, our university students went to the earthquake zone accompanied by academicians from the university and participated in various activities. Our university, which feeds from the society and at the same time contributes to the society, gives its students the opportunity to participate in social projects as well as courses. Some examples of social responsibility projects; We organise blood donation activities at our university. Together with our students, we both donate blood and provide awareness-raising trainings on blood donation. We organise awareness-raising meetings. Another project is participating in first aid trainings with our students. We carry out activities to popularise first aid trainings. And we give first aid trainings together. As another example, we carry out cleaning activities with our students under the leadership of Istanbul Medeniyet University for a cleaner world. We clean our beaches, clean our forests and keep our nature clean. While carrying out these activities with our students, we also carry out activities to raise awareness. In addition to all these, Istanbul Medeniyet University gives its students a social diploma supplement to certify their competencies in the social field. While our students graduate by documenting the activities they have carried out, they also receive a social diploma supplement in addition to the diploma. We are waiting for all our prospective students to Istanbul Medeniyet University; we look forward to contributing to society in our university that is active all day long.
