Faculty of Engineering

Hello, I am Prof. Dr. Mehmet KURBAN. I am the dean of the Faculty of Engineering at Bilecik Şeyh Edebali University. The Faculty of Engineering started providing education and training after our university was founded in 2007. We started accepting students in 2008 and graduated our first students in 2012. We currently have nine active departments. The departments in our faculty are as follows: Computer Engineering, Bioengineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Civil Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Metrology and Materials Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and Software Engineering. We have approximately 1,600 students, 96 faculty members, and 10 administrative staff. The courses in our faculty are divided into technical and non-technical courses. Mandatory courses such as Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry are included in our curriculum. Technical courses are emphasized after the second year. Especially in the third and fourth year, we have courses aimed at specialization. All of our departments have laboratories. We have two engineering laboratories outside of our Faculty of Engineering building. In addition, we have Electrical and Electronics Engineering and Computer Engineering laboratories in our building. The students of the Faculty of Engineering are required to complete internships. What is important here is that our students can use the industrial opportunities in the area and the opportunities where they live to do internships in various fields. We have international internship opportunities. Our students in the faculty can benefit from both national and international exchange programs. Our students can participate in international internship programs and Erasmus programs and complete a part of their education abroad. We provide social and scientific activities at our faculty. Especially towards the end of the academic year, events such as the presentation of graduation projects, various career days and technical trips are organized. In addition, there are national and international congresses, conferences, participations and various events that we organize. Our faculty students can find jobs in a variety of fields after graduation. We follow our graduates through our graduation information system. Our graduates are working in many places around the world. Since 2012, we have graduated thousands of students from our engineering fields. We are pleased to see that our students who graduate from our engineering faculty are evaluated for their quality and good job opportunities. Our engineering faculty students are successful in all their courses as a result of disciplined and regular work. When they face some difficulties, they have no problem contacting our teaching staff and instructors. We are always there for our students and support them whenever they have any problems. Students who choose the engineering faculty will be happy here. We are ready to provide all kinds of opportunities to ensure that they grow as happy, peaceful, and healthy engineers. They will become professionals who are happy after their engineering education concludes and provide scientific and technical benefits to the whole world. The geographical location of our university, the infrastructure, the quality of our teaching staff, the opportunities we provide, our social and cultural activities, accommodation and meals, our relationships with stakeholders, and the ease and peace of education make our university one of the most attractive institutions.
