Hello, I am Dr. Mustafa ZEYTİN, the Director of Söğüt Vocational School. I have been working at Söğüt Vocational School for 15 years. After graduating from Dumlupınar University, Department of Business Administration, I received a master's degree in Accounting and Finance from Dumlupınar University, Institute of Social Sciences. Afterwards, I completed my doctorate education at Sakarya University, Institute of Social Sciences, Department of Accounting and Finance. Over the past 20 years, I have served as an academic staff member, and for the past 10 years, I have held administrative roles including Department Head and Assistant Principal, before assuming my current position as Principal at our esteemed institution.Our vocational school was established under Dumlupınar University in 1994, and subsequently became a part of Bilecik University in 2007, continuing its academic endeavors here. In 2012, our university's name was changed to Bilecik Şeyh Edebali University. Until today, we have proudly graduated 3645 students from various departments within our school, many of whom have successfully pursued careers in sectors related to their fields of study. We maintain ongoing communication with our alumni, utilizing our Alumni Information System to provide academic and social support.At present, our vocational school offers 9 programs, including culinary arts, computer programming, press and media, office management and executive secretariat, public relations, legal secretariat, social security, fashion, and interior design. Our curriculum is designed to include current and technological advancements, and our students benefit from well-equipped workshops, laboratories, and classrooms dedicated to each program. In addition to theoretical education, our students also undergo a 30-day internship during summer periods, following the 3+1 system, which includes workplace practice and training in all 6 of our programs. This allows our students to graduate with practical experience in their respective sectors, after completing three semesters of theoretical coursework at our vocational school.
Our vocational school is proud to have 30 highly qualified academic staff, including 6 lecturers, and 24 instructors actively engaged in academic activities. Moreover, eight of our instructors are currently pursuing doctoral education. We can say that the majority of our academic staff in our vocational school are young, dynamic and experienced staff who closely follow the new developing technology.Our vocational school is equipped with modern facilities, including two computer laboratories, one of which is renovated with state-of-the-art computers capable of running digital image processing technology. These facilities are extensively utilized by our students in programs such as computer programming, interior design, press and broadcast technologies, and fashion design programs.In addition to our computer labs, we also have specialized workshops for our cooking and fashion design programs, including a kitchen workshop and a fashion sewing workshop. Furthermore, we provide three drawing classes and eleven classrooms, including lecture halls, to cater to the diverse needs of our students. The physical infrastructure of our vocational school is designed to support our students and current programs effectively. Our vocational school has a strong track record of graduate employability, with our students easily finding jobs in their respective fields upon graduation.
