Hello, I am Esra Erdoğan. I am a Başkent University Medical Faculty Term 4 student. Başkent University Faculty of Medicine was founded by Dr. Mehmet Haberal in 19993. Education began in 1999. They aim to train physicians who have clinical competencies, who aim to improve public health, and who are pioneers in scientific issues and have ethical values. Our education is divided in two as the first 3 years before the clinic and the last 3 years after the clinic. For the first 3 years we take more basic medical education. We learn non-clinical areas such as anatomy, physiology, biochemistry. For the last 3 years, we have both practical training in the hospital and clinical training. The first three years are part of our training as laboratory studies. We have Microbiology laboratories in the 1st year. Biochemistry 2nd year. Anatomy and Physiology 3rd year. It is aimed at reinforcing our knowledge not only in our own experiences but also in visual sense, where we learn the information we learned in the theoretical lessons. From the 4th year, we now have internship groups. In the 4th year internships we have more non-surgical areas. We take internships related to the surgical fields in the 5th class and we are observers in the hospital as well as the theoretical courses during the internships and as observers in the outpatient clinics. When you graduate from the medical faculty, you start your professional life with the title of general practitioner. We can continue our career in this way or we can work on specialist exams in Turkey and abroad and continue our career as a specialist physician. We may also be part of preclinical education, such as biochemistry, pharmacology, anatomy, where we can do more scientific research. I always wanted to have a career where progress has not ended. For this purpose, I think that the medical faculty always suited me for developing and changing tempo. That's why I chose the medical faculty. I prefer Başkent University because Başkent University is a well-established university and foundation university and I can see that I can study in small groups and that my communication will always be very good and that I will be at the top of my proficiency in terms of medicine. Başkent University Faculty of Medicine is a faculty in the upper level of physical facilities. I have felt and seen in 4 years that it has provided us with all kinds of opportunities in this regard. This is my favorite feature. After graduating, I want to continue my career as a specialist physician by sitting the specialist exams. My suggestion for future physicians if you want to study in a faculty that provides you with a good education with physical facilities and competence, where you can communicate with your lecturers, I suggest başkent University.
