Physiology Master's Program with Thesis

Hello, I am Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ceylan AYADA. I am the Head of Department of Physiology, Faculty of Medicine, Izmir Bakırçay University; I am also the Head of Department of Physiology, Institute of Health Sciences.Our Physiology Master's Program with Thesis aims to educate individuals who have sufficient knowledge, skills and experience in the field of physiology, who will contribute to the national and international academic level. We continue our education in Seyrek Campus of our university. In addition to the physiology of all body systems courses, scientific history and ethics, principles of scientific publication, specialization courses and seminars are generally taught. The laboratories we use are the laboratories belonging to the Faculty of Medicine Application Research Center. In these laboratories, we have the infrastructure to carry out studies especially in the field of molecular physiology. Apart from that, we can also carry out electrophysiology and experimental physiology studies.We established our master's program in physiology with thesis in 2021. We received our first students in 2022. Currently, 2 of our students are at the course stage. 1 of our students continues his education life at the thesis stage. Our graduates can work in the academic staff of universities. They can continue their doctorate. They can work as researchers in research laboratories at home and abroad. They can also be employed in the health sector. Since Bakırçay University is a new university, it is both innovative and open to changes. Apart from this, our students can benefit from various social facilities in Seyrek Campus within the scope of the opportunities provided by our university. In addition, with exchange programs such as ERASMUS, Mevlana, Farabi, our students can find research and study opportunities in different universities at international or national level. Izmir Bakırçay University offers these to our students. Izmir Bakırçay University is located in a beautiful city like Izmir. In addition, it is the newest state university in Izmir and it is a university that is far from obsolescence. It is an innovative university. It is open to change. It produces technology. It also incorporates this production into education and practice. And in this respect, it is a university that will contribute to the development of our students. For this reason, Izmir Bakırçay University can be a good choice. Physiology is a science that aims to understand the logic of life. In this sense, we are waiting for our students who are passionate about physiology, but they should foresee that they need to read and research by really working in this field while coming to the program. For this reason, our friends who come to the program should do this job fondly, especially read well, research and follow innovations. I wish success to the friends who will take the university exam in advance. I hope they will have a profession that they will love throughout their lives.
