THE EDUCATIONAL MODEL
Our University, whose focus is on health and technology, aims to produce high-value-added technology, sensitive to the priorities of the country; at the same time, by prioritizing scientific autonomy, it aims to educate knowledgeable and virtuous professionals needed by the society within the framework of justice and merit, adhering to ethical and moral rules. Based on this point, our University is building its own education model in parallel with its mission and vision.
Izmir Bakırçay University’s education model is designed within the framework of two main focuses with four main characteristics and content aspects in terms of time.
In terms of the time aspect, the establishment phase, the composition of educational units, applied flexible education, accredited programs, and interdisciplinary education at the postgraduate level, as well as digital transformation in education and the focus on internationalization in all academic units,

In terms of the content aspect, the focus is on educating entrepreneurs and focusing on a healthy individual and society.

At İzmir Bakırçay University, a model has been established that combines programs that will support health-specific programs with engineering and technology, economic and financial aspects, social and behavioral sciences dimensions, and legal and intellectual property rights.
Following the flexible theoretical infrastructure applied in parallel with scientific developments in all educational programs of the university, a selection-based and optional educational model is tried that is suitable for the student's career goals with the element of practical education, where they will gain experience in their field and simultaneously provide knowledge and accumulation for their education.
One of the main objectives of the education model is to train the employees needed in the industry together with the sector and thus gain experience by taking an active role in the current issues needed by the students.
In our university, various learning tools are used to train a qualified workforce that will respond to regional and global needs with entrepreneurship-oriented education and R&D activities at international standards and to have this workforce equipped to produce patents, utility models, and ultimately innovative products, especially in the field of health and technology.
One of the main goals of our university is not only to train high-level individuals in terms of professional knowledge in their field but also to produce graduates who are reliable, compliant, attach importance to ethical values, and are sensitive to social values.
It is the target of the educational programs given at the university provided in the medium term, accompanied by academicians who are experts in their field, and the education will have an intellectual quality, the associate degree, undergraduate and preferably interdisciplinary aspect of the students will be accredited graduate programs that look at health and technology, and this accreditation will be made sustainable at the level of international standards.



VOCATIONAL EDUCATION MODEL IN BUSINESS (IME):
The Vocational Education Model in Business Administration is applied in all departments at Izmir Bakırçay University. In this model, students can complete the last year of their education with practical training in private sector enterprises, techno parks, research infrastructures, R&D centers, and health or industrial organizations. This educational model is called the Vocational Education Model in Business.
In line with the Vocational Education Model in Business, Izmir Bakırçay University signs agreements with various enterprises within the framework of applied education. Apart from these contracted enterprises, students can also do internships and IME in the enterprises they will find with their communications.
