DISABILITY ACCESSIBILITY BAKIRÇAY COORDINATION OFFICE:
Our Coordination office adopts an approach geared toward producing effective and permanent exemplary solutions by taking into account the solution suggestions reported by the students in the process of removing obstacles.
Our University has been awarded by the Institution of Higher Education the;
• "Orange Flag" representing accessibility in the space
• "Blue Flag" representing accessibility in cultural activities
• "Green Flag" representing educational accessibility
Our university continues all its activities intending to facilitate the learning lives of students with disabilities who are studying and ensuring their full participation in their education life.
SPATIAL ACCESS OPPORTUNITIES OF OUR UNIVERSITY;
Outdoor and indoor Voice Navigation System for the visually impaired
Disability Assistance Assistant at the entrance of the Campus
Handicapped bathroom on each floor of the university buildings
Emergency and Medical Assistance Buttons at 10 different points of the university and in all handicapped bathrooms
Handicapped Parking Lot with a capacity of 20 vehicles in the university parking lot
Battery powered wheelchair and Charging Unit for mobile phones on campus
Signaling System at the University entrance
There are ramps, palpable surfaces, photocell doors, door bands, and handicapped elevators at the building entrances.

Free hearing aid and auxiliary equipment support for hearing impaired students
Voluntary peer support for sharing lecture notes, studying, and reading audiobooks
Handicapped student reading room, visually impaired workstation, non-disabled book borrowing and giving station, library services with books written in Braille
Handicapped student counsellors located in every faculty, college, and vocational school
Free tablets, smart walking stick, battery powered wheelchair for students in need
Audiobook Reading Room
Accessible course material preparation training for teaching staff
Simultaneous access to live lessons
Adaptations in the course and exam applications according to the types of student handicaps
Accessible services such as a web page are provided.
