Faculty of Medicine

Hello, I am Professor Doctor Aydın Nadir. I work as the Chief Physician at Medical Park Hospital. I am also the acting Vice Dean of Yuksek Ihtisas University. Our agreement process with the Yuksek Ihtisas University, which has been going on for about 1 year, is running successfully. There are approximately 210 beds in our hospital. We have around 50 intensive care beds, 17 of which are General Intensive Care, 19 Neonatal Intensive Care, 12 Cardiovascular Surgery (KVC) Intensive Care and 4 Coronary Intensive Care. We also have beds in our other services including Surgery, Internal Medicine and Obstetrics and Paediatric Services. Our students continue with their education, having started their internship in our hospital for a year. Last year, 5th year and 4th year students along with 3rd year students continued with their internship programme. This year, our senior students have entered their final year which they will finish by completing their internship duties. Our internships are generally continuing in the operating room, polyclinic and inpatient services. Unfortunately, our education process has been halted a little this year due to the Covid-19 outbreak. However, we have been continuing with our theoretical lessons in order to provide the highest level of education possible. If the conditions are suitable, our practical applications will continue in the 2nd term. Our intern students are continuing with their training in the Pediatric Service, General Surgery Service along with our intensive care units on a voluntary basis this year. We have around 600-700 patients coming to the polyclinics of our hospital on a daily basis. Approximately 25 surgeries are performed a day in the 6 operating rooms. As a result of our agreement with Yuksek Ihtisas University, we do not only house students from the faculty of medicine. Students from the Operating Room Technician, Nutrition, Biomedical programmes along with the Nursing Schools continue their education in our hospital. We continue our efforts to continue the education of our students together with nearly 100 doctor colleagues who are experts in their field. During their internship, our fellow students can get help from the operating rooms, the Radiology Laboratory and the Biochemistry Laboratory. I would like to tell the students who are planning on choosing our university, that nearly 100 of our expert colleagues who are eager to partake their valuable knowledge are awaiting them. We would be very happy if we could contribute a little to their education. I wish success to all our students.
