Kaynarca Seyfettin Selim Vocational School

My name is Nafiz Filiz. Our vocational school was founded by Seyfettin Selim, a businessman from Kaynarca, and lent to our university. With the approval of the Council of Higher Education (YÖK), our programs were established, starting with the accounting and business programs. As for our associate degree programs, we have Business Management, Finance, Computer Programming, Computer Aided Design and Animation programs. Currently, we have around 450-500 active students. While choosing these programs, we have always paid utmost attention to have programs that are required by the industry so that our students can easily find a job after graduation, where they can improve themselves. In our vocational school, we currently have 12 professors, 2 of them are doctor lecturers and the remaining 10 are lecturers. As for their credentials, almost all of them are professors with market and business experience, so we can teach much more efficient courses to our students. Currently, we have 2 computer labs within our vocational school. We have 80 computers. Our main focus is on computer students, as computer-based courses are offered in computer programming, computer-aided design and animation programs. Of course, since our students in other departments also have computer-related courses, our other students can use the computer labs very comfortably when they are free
Students have 1-month compulsory internships in the summer. Apart from this, we implement a system that we call 3 + 1. The workplace practice, which we call 3 + 1, which is applied both at our university and at our vocational school, in the form of a 3-semester theoretical course, and a practical one-semester course they do by going to workplaces. Students benefit a lot from this application. When our students graduate, they graduate as experienced and qualified people because they spend a semester working. We have 2 qualitative and 2 quantitative programs offered to students. Students who graduate from qualitative departments can easily be employed in the purchasing departments, accounting departments, marketing departments, human resources department and other similar departments of companies. We are in the age of information and technology, information and technology are always at the forefront. For this reason, the market has a great need for information and technology. In order to meet this need, we provide training that allows our students to be productive in the market and show themselves professionally. In particular, we see that our students in the Department of Computer Aided Design and Animation have a wider range of work. In general, they can work very comfortably in all kinds of computer-related animation programs in the manufacturing sector, industry, cinema and advertisement firms. Why should you choose our vocational school? In our vocational school, we bring businessmen to meet our students from time to time. Approximately 50% -60% of our students who graduate from our vocational school transfer to undergraduate programs with the vertical transfer exam. The remaining students can find a job very easily in the job market. As Sakarya University of Applied Sciences, we currently have a really young, active and dynamic staff. Most of this staff consists of people who provide practical training. For this reason, we believe that we provide our students with practical training rather than theoretical education. Our slogan is: "We integrate knowledge with skill." By integrating the knowledge of our incoming students with their skills, we ensure that they graduate in the best possible way.
