Sapanca Vocatioanal School

Hello friends, I am Professor Burhanettin Zengin. I am a permanent faculty member at the Tourism Guidance Department of the Faculty of Tourism. At the same time, I am the director of Sapanca Vocational School. Sapanca Vocational School was established in 1995 as a subsidiary of Sakarya University and is a vocational school that provides associate degree education. In our school, education is given in 7 programs including Landscape and Ornamental Plants, Banking and Insurance, Public Relations, Media-Communication, Marketing and Foreign Trade. The main purpose of the programs is to train qualified people needed by the sector. As Sapanca Vocational School, we have a strong teaching staff. We continue our educational activities with 1 professor, 1 associate professor, 5 assistant professors and 19 lecturers. There is a fully equipped computer laboratory in our vocational school, which provides social-based education. A laboratory preparation is in progress for the Media and Communication Program to provide education in better conditions. As a university, we are a university that implements and pioneers 3+1 education system. Our vocational school continues its educational activities in this context. We provide two different application training. One of these is the 30-day internship that our student does when they pass from the 1st to the 2nd grade. The other is the training activities in industry during the 4th semester within the scope of 3+1. As a school that provides social-based education, our graduates can benefit from the job opportunities provided by the private sector and the public sector to associate degree graduates. Since our vocational school provides education within the scope of 3+1 education model, our students graduate with the necessary equipment. Therefore, our research has shown us that our students do not encounter any difficulties in finding a job in the market. Our vocational school is a college that is extremely easy to access due to its location and should be preferred considering both the accommodation and accommodation facilities it provides to the students. Students prefer schools that are close to Istanbul and other big cities, with adequate accommodation facilities and strong educational staff. All of these features are available to us. Therefore, our request from our students is to choose us by considering these conditions. Although our university is a new university, it seems to be a highly preferred university. Founded in 2018, our university stands out in education and training activities with its young academicians, experienced faculty members who can establish extremely good relations with students. The administrative staff of our university also come to the fore as highly knowledgeable and student-oriented staff. These are the main reasons why our university is the most preferred university among the universities that established in recent years.
