Farabi Exchange Program

Hello friends, I am Engin Can. I am a faculty member in the Faculty of Technology, Department of Engineering and Basic Sciences, as well as the Farabi exchange program coordinator of our university. Unlike other exchange programs, Farabi exchange program is a domestic exchange program. It covers domestic mobility. When our students meet the necessary conditions, they go to the city they want and continue their education as if they are studying at our university. The condition for participating in the Farabi exchange program is again a grade point average, but apart from this grade point average, it is also to be elected in the limited quota due to the agreements we have made with universities. For example, you can apply Farabi with a 2.50 grade point average, but if you want to be a student at another university in the electrical and electronics section, for example, you must be qualified among all the other applicants from Turkey.Although the application requirement is 2.50, it does not guarantee the opportunity to be involved in a Farabi exchange program with a low GPA. Students participating in the Farabi exchange program pay their tuition fees to their own universities, but do not pay any fees at the university they attend. On top of that, the Council of Higher Education (YÖK) gives them grants. This is 650TL as of today, but this may continue to increase in the coming years. Friends, while speaking of the Farabi exchange program, let me add the following; You actually have a great advantage along with all the other exchange programs. We offer one more opportunity to for those who willprefer us. This actually exists in other universities as well. You chose our university and came. For this reason, you will be obliged to study here in the first semester and you will receive a grade point average. Then, with your GPA, you will apply for exchange programs by meeting the application requirements in both Erasmus, Farabi and Mevlana. For example, let's say you applied for Erasmus in the first year. At the beginning of the second year, you will go abroad with Erasmus. The next year, you will go to any university you want all over the world with the Mevlana program. In the last year, you will be able to go to the university in your city with Farabi, so you will spend the first year in Sakarya and the other three years in abroad and in another university in Turkey, and finally you will receive your diploma from our university. Therefore, as Sakarya University of Applied Sciences and Exchange Programs Coordinatorship, we do our best for our students to benefit from all kinds of exchange programs after they come to us in both.
