Econometric

I am Havva Gültekin. I am a faculty member of the Department of Econometrics. My specialization is econometrics and statistics. In this field, I teach Time Series Econometrics, Financial Econometrics and Econometric Package Programs in our department. Our department consists of 2 main branches, namely Statistics and Operations. Our department aims to train individuals who are both theoretically and practically equipped in the fields of econometrics and statistics. In our department, both theoretical and practical econometrics, statistics and operations-oriented courses are offered. In our department, we have a computer laboratory and study areas that our students can use. In our department, there are exchange programs such as Erasmus, Farabi and Mevlana that students can benefit from. With these programs, our students have the right to study at a university other than our own for 1 or 2 semesters. Our department makes an agreement with TÜİK (Turkish Statistical Institute) Edirne Regional Directorate for students from term to term. Students who graduate from our department can work in the finance, decision-making and analysis departments of private companies as well as public institutions such as the Turkish Statistical Institute, the Ministry of Treasury and Finance, the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey, and the Ministry of Commerce. Our department has more courses with numerical content compared to other departments of the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences. For this reason, students who are interested in mathematics, statistics and economics are recommended to choose this department.
