Hello, my name is Mikail Pehlivan. I work as a research assistant in the Department of Public Finance. Public Finance examines the economic activities of the state in depth; It is an interdisciplinary department in which accounting, economics, law and political science disciplines occupy a significant portion. The Department of Public Finance is a department that mostly addresses the public sector. However, depending on the elective courses taken by the students, it also appeals to the private sector. An interdisciplinary structure can be seen in our department during the 1st and 2nd grades. In the 3rd and 4th grades, more emphasis is placed on finance courses. These consist of courses such as Public Finance, Government Debts, International Finance, Tax Law, and Turkish Tax System. There are study rooms in our department that students can use. Students of our department can benefit from exchange programs such as Farabi and Erasmus. Students of our department can participate in the International Finance Symposium, which is held regularly every year. As academics, we can participate in the International Finance Symposium, which is organized by a different university every year. Graduates of our department can be employed in fields such as district governorship, administrative judgeship, inspectorship and civil service. In addition, they can be employed in universities as academicians. I can recommend the candidates who will choose our department to learn English at a good level, to participate in the Erasmus program, to keep their GPAs high and to participate in student societies. There is also a guest house where visiting families can stay on campus. I wish good luck to the students who will take the exam.
