I am Professor Sadi Uzunoğlu. I am the head of the Department of Economics at Trakya University. We focus on both the micro and macro units in the economy, as well as the economy in general. Of course, we don't just have economics classes. There are also courses other than economics. With these courses, we help our students to develop their vision in general and to think analytically. In our department, we offer courses that contain both theoretical and practical knowledge. In addition to this, you can take many other courses related to law, business and general culture in our department. In addition, you can find elective courses in our department that provide a more specialized knowledge for specific sub-fields. In our department, what we are trying to accomplish is to provide our students with the necessary skills such as analytical and innovative thinking. Students studying in our department can go abroad and study for 1 year with programs such as Erasmus. Therefore, they can gain a serious experience and learn about different countries, different cultures, and the university environment there. Our department hosts many international and national meetings. We invite prominent people in the field to our university with continuous training and seminars. We strive to increase the knowledge and experience of our students in the best ways possible. The graduates of our department can easily find jobs both in the public and private sectors. The public sector usually has certain requirements such as exams. For the private sector, I can say that our graduates are particularly successful in interviews. We can confirm that our graduates are employed in many fields from banking to many different fields. There is only one thing we want from our students, please do not come to this section with prejudice. What we are dealing with in this department is a part of daily life. If you choose this department willingly, you will gain specialized knowledge in a very wide area. Edirne is one of the student-friendly cities in Turkey. It's in the top 5 as far as I know. Therefore, both the city and our university are truly student-friendly. Here, our university will provide you with all its opportunities. Both the city of Edirne and Trakya University, in my opinion, are one of the best places to study in Turkey. I wish success to students who will take the exam.
