Hello, I'm Lecturer Gizem Özbudak. I am an academic member of Keşan Hakkı Yörük School of Health, Department of Nursing. My specialty is internal medicine nursing. As the Department of Nursing, we aim to train health professionals who constantly improve themselves, adhere to ethical rules, respect human and patient rights, and aim to protect and improve the health of people, individuals and society. Our Department’s curriculum includes courses on basic nursing concepts and principles in the first year, and basic department courses such as internal medicine nursing and surgical nursing in the second and third years. In the last year, our students continue their practices in the hospital as interns. Our college consists of one block. It consists of 4 lecture halls, 1 study room, 1 vocational skills laboratory and a meeting room. In order for our students to develop their professional skills and experiences, and to apply the knowledge they have gained in theoretical courses, there are clinical applications during the year and intern applications in the last year. Our school has Farabi, Mevlana and Erasmus exchange program commissions in order to guide the education opportunities in Turkey and abroad in line with the wishes and demands of our students. Our department participates in national and international scientific events such as congresses, panels and symposiums and carries out scientific studies. After graduating from the undergraduate degree with the title of nurse, our students can work in primary, secondary and tertiary healthcare institutions, private institutions, schools and nursing homes. In addition, they can carry out their profession as a specialist nurse with graduate education. I would like to emphasize that the candidates who will choose our department should be individuals who can understand the behaviors of healthy and sick individuals and who love to help people and society. The presence of public and private dormitories in the district, excursions and social programs organized by the communities in the school for our students who will come from outside Edirne constitute a great advantage for our students.
