Mathematics

My name is Nur Buse Kula. I am a student of Trakya University, Department of Mathematics. Our department and the Faculty of Science located in the Balkan Campus of our university. Our department was accredited for 5 years by an independent accreditation institution, whose short name is FEDEK, in 2020. Our department aims to produce graduates who are well-equipped in mathematics and who do not compromise on scientific values. In our department, Physics and Basic Mathematics courses are offered in addition to the compulsory common courses in the first year. In the following grades, we also have advanced mathematics courses and non-field electives. When we pass these courses successfully, we can graduate from our department with a total of 240 European Credit Transfer System (ECTS) course credits. In our department, we have an internet-equipped computer laboratory with a capacity of 40 people under the supervision of a faculty member. Our department has an optional internship and a compulsory graduation project. We have the chance to take the graduation project as a graduation work in the 4th grade and to prepare it in a field we want. In addition to this, we have the opportunity to work in the Ministry of National Defense, the General Directorate of Meteorology, provincial and district directorates, and computer and software companies, in the field of education, in financial fields such as banking and insurance. I want to pursue a postgraduate degree after I graduate and pass on the valuable information I have learned to younger generations. I recommend the candidates who will prefer our university to visit nearby Balkan countries and participate in the artistic activities of our university. I recommend that students who will prefer our department to study in a disciplined way. We are waiting for students who will prefer our university and department and we wish you success in your exam.
