Sports Teams

Hello, I am Göktürk Samet Kılıç. I am a graduate student at the Faculty of Sports Sciences at Tokat Gaziosmanpaşa University. Today I will give you information about our university teams. There are 14 sports branches in our university. These are sports branches such as football, basketball, volleyball, handball, swimming and tennis. Our athletes do their training in the stadium, semi-olympic swimming pool, indoor and outdoor tennis courts, gym and fitness hall in the Taşlıçiftlik center. Our school participates in the tournaments organized by the Turkish University Sports Federation every year. In addition, our school organizes tournaments every year for our students. We have teams in the 1st and 2nd Leagues of the ÜniLig Super League. We also have achieved second and third place finishes in the Super League. Apart from this, we have athletes who have individually won gold medals, silver medals and bronze medals. All students studying at our university can join teams. Our coach organizes certain courses which students must pass in order to be included in the team. Students who are successful in these are entitled to join the team. Sports help us develop mentally and physically. It also allows us to socialize. We welcome you to our university and our sports teams. We wish you success in your exams.
