Hello, my name is Adam Hissein Mahamat. I'm from Chad. I am a 3rd year student at Tokat Gaziosmanpaşa University Faculty of Dentistry. I come from Chad, right in the middle of Africa. It's been 3 years since I came to Turkey and 2 years since I came to Tokat. I have wanted to come to Turkey since I was child, and I finally have. We took an exam here. We made our choices based on the scores we got after taking the exam. I got accepted to Tokat and I came here. When I came here, I came thinking that this place would be like a country in Africa. After coming here, I encountered a completely different culture. Ever since I was little, I had a dream to study in a health-related department. First of all, I wanted to study medicine. If I didn't study medicine, I would have wanted to study dentistry. As I said, I wanted to come to Turkey very much and I was lucky to come. While choosing, I chose the health departments. I got accepted to the Faculty of Dentistry from those health departments and received an acceptance letter from Turkey. With that acceptance, I got a visa and came to Turkey. After coming to Turkey, the International Student Coordinatorship provided all kinds of assistance. They supported us in every way. During registration, we registered to different faculties with the support provided by them. After coming to Tokat Gaziosmanpaşa University, I feel that I have improved myself a lot in different subjects. Here I adapted to a different culture and a different religious life. After coming here, we developed a very good relationship with the people here, the university staff and the administrative staff. They are very nice and helped us a lot. The university provided support for all the problems I experienced after coming here. I am very satisfied with the professors and education provided at the university. They also provide us with all kinds of support for our personal development. There are cultural and social activities we participate in at the university. We participated in dance events and introduced our food to people. We also participated in football tournaments. The cities I visited after coming to Turkey are Istanbul, Ankara, Izmir, Bodrum, Antep, Sivas, Samsun and Karabuk. I received Turkish language education in Karabuk. Then I came to Tokat, and loved it. Tokat is great. I love Tokat because it is a very quiet place. That's why I like Tokat. The people of Tokat are helpful and hospitable. That's why I love Tokat so much. I cannot compare Tokat with other cities. I would recommend students who want to study in Turkey to choose this place. Because the school is quite adequate in terms of education. Since our university is one of the oldest universities, the quality of education is very good. Tokat is a quiet city which offers a comfortable commute. And all the people here are helpful. I would recommend them to choose Tokat for this reason. After graduation, I aim to return to my country and work. I would like to say to our friends who want to come to Tokat Gaziosmanpaşa University that they can come here without any doubts.
