Preparatory Education

Hello, I'm Ahmet Çayır. I am a preparatory class student at Tokat Gaziosmanpaşa University, Department of Practical English Translation. There are 2 different preparatory programs in our school. One of them is optional preparatory training and the other one is compulsory preparatory education. In our compulsory preparatory program, students come from English Language and Literature, English Language Teaching and Applied English Translation Departments. Students from all departments can participate in optional preparatory classes. Preparatory education lasts for 1 year. Midterm exams are in the form of quizzes and there are final exams at the end of the year. Preparatory class students must have a mean score of minimum 60 to pass the department. The education we receive in the preparatory class develops all our language skills and prepares us for the next years. All the opportunities provided by technology are also used in our education. I advise our students who will come to our university to read English books, watch videos and watch movies before they come. I think that there is an educational environment in our university where our students can improve themselves and I recommend our school to all students. I wish everyone success.
