Guidance and Psychological Counseling Practice and Research Center

Hello everyone, I am Professor Tahsin İlhan. I am a faculty member at Tokat Gaziosmanpaşa University, Faculty of Education, Department of Educational Sciences, Guidance and Psychological Counseling. At the same time, I am the Director of the Guidance and Psychological Counseling Application and Research Center of our university, which was established in February 2020. Our center, which was established to meet the guidance and psychological counseling needs of our students, has started providing services since 2020. We provide face-to-face and online services to meet the guidance and psychological counseling needs of our students. Among these services, we provide professional assistance services to our students in many subjects, including psychological resilience, anxiety testing, life skills development, university adjustment, academic success and relationship problems. In addition to the services we provide to our university students, we also provide psychological counseling services to university staff, their spouses and children, the people of Tokat and those coming from outside of Tokat. Our center is located in the Taşlıçiftlik Campus, which is the central campus of our university. In our center, besides our experts, the faculty members of the Guidance and Psychological Counseling Program of our university also serve on a part-time basis. One of the short and medium-term goals of our center is to offer internship opportunities to the students and graduates of the Guidance and Psychological Counseling Department. Another goal of ours is to provide the students of Guidance and Psychological Counseling undergraduate and graduate programs with the opportunity to practice as a part of their related courses.
