Hello, I'm Onur Cem Altınoluk. I am from Tokat. I am a 2nd year student at Tokat Gaziosmanpaşa University, Department of Chemistry. The department is located in the Tokat Gaziosmanpaşa University, Taşlıçiftlik Campus, Faculty of Arts and Sciences. Our department started providing education in 1993. It consists of 5 departments. These are; Organic Chemistry, Inorganic Chemistry, Physical Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry and Biochemistry. In our department, there are 3 student laboratories and 10 research laboratories. In these research laboratories, devices such as AAC, ENAMAR, HPLC are available for research. In order to gain experience and improve ourselves in our department, we can do internships for 20 to 30 working days. In order to consolidate our knowledge, we undertake a final study on any subject we want. After graduating from our department, we can work in laboratories and factories, find employment in pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, petroleum and polymer businesses. We can also work in pharmaceutical licensing and biochemistry laboratories in hospitals. In addition to these, we can work as academics in our university. I chose this department because I thought it was the best department where I focus my interest of research.The subject matter started to interest me a lot as I questioned the active ingredients in the household materials we use, such as shampoos and detergents. I even had a dream in which I develop a substance that will combat cancer in the future. At the time I was looking for a university, I had the opportunity to visit Tokat Gaziosmanpaşa University and get to know the lecturers. After meeting with the lecturers, I saw their work, the patents they received, and many more projects they had undertaken. For these reasons, I chose Tokat Gaziosmanpaşa University. I'm thinking of studying for a master's and doctorate degree after graduation. I want to continue my career in the academy. Candidates who will come to this department should have the spirit of research, curiosity and patience. I think that all candidates who share these qualities can choose this department.
