Mechanical Engineering

I am Emre Saldırıcıer, I’m a 2nd year student at Tokat Gaziosmanpasa University, Department of Mechanical Engineering. Our department was established in 2016. It had its first graduates last year. It is located in Taşlıçiftlik Campus. The aim of our department is to train qualified mechanical engineers in the fields that our country needs. In the first years of our department, basic engineering courses are given. In the following years, field courses are given. Some of these are courses such as Thermodynamics, Dynamics, Static, and AutoCad Programming. There are 5 laboratories in our department, these are: Manufacturing laboratory, Thermodynamics and Energy laboratory, Automotive laboratory, Materials laboratory. There are 2 workshops and business internship programs in our department. The duration of each of these internships is 20 days. When we graduate, we can work in the defense industry, manufacturing, automotive sector. I chose this department because I wanted to be a mechanical engineer since my childhood. I chose our university because of the laboratory facilities and academic staff of our university. When I graduate, I want to work in the defense industry of our country. I recommend you to choose our university and department because of its strong infrastructure and close relations with our professors. Also, when you come here, I recommend you to participate in TÜBİTAK (Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey) projects. I wish you all success in the exams.
